Snow License Manager 9, Snow License Manager modules, and Snow Inventory Server 6

Introduction

This document describes how to register license information for Snow products.

Prerequisites

• License keys for all Snow products are distributed by your Sales Representative at Flexera.

• The user performing the license registration must be granted access to the application server.

Change license information

Snow License Manager

To change the license information for Snow License Manager:

1. Access the Snow License Manager application server using a remote desktop connection (RDP).

2. Open the Web Configurator.

3. On the License tab, enter license information in Company and License Key.

4. For the changes to take effect, select Activate.

5. Select Close to exit the Web Configurator.

Snow License Manager modules

To change license information for Snow products like Software Recognition Service, Oracle Management Option, Software Store Option, and more:

1. Access the Snow License Manager application server using a remote desktop connection.

2. Open the Web Configurator.

3. On the License tab and in the Modules section, select Add.

4. In Module, do the following:

   1. Select product from the Module drop-down menu.

   2. Enter information in License Key.

   3. Select OK.

5. Select Apply.

6. Select Close to exit the Web Configurator.

Snow Inventory Server

You can change the license information for Snow Inventory Server in the Snow Inventory Server Configuration Manager or directly in the configuration file.

To change the license information using the Snow Inventory Server Configuration Manager:

1. Access the Snow Inventory application server using a remote desktop connection (RDP).

2. To start Snow Inventory Server Configuration Manager, run snowserverconfig.exe.

   Default file path: C:\Program Files\Snow Software\Snow Inventory\Server\snowserverconfig.exe

3. On the Welcome page, select Stop master server.

4. Select Change configuration.

5. In Change server configuration, select Change license key.

6. Enter values for Company name and License key, and then select Next.

7. Review the Summary, and then select Create.

8. Select Done.

9. Select Start master server.

10. Close Snow Inventory Server Configuration Manager.

To change the license information using the configuration file:

1. Access the Snow Inventory application server using a remote desktop connection (RDP).

2. Open the configuration file for Snow Inventory Server.

   Default file path: C:\Program Files\Snow Software\Snow Inventory\Server\snowserver.config

3. Change the values for CompanyName and LicenseKey.

4. Save and close the configuration file.

5. For the changes to take effect, restart the Windows service Snow Inventory Server.
