Offline upgrade to Snow License Manager 25
The following section describes how to upgrade from Snow License Manager 9.x to Snow License Manager 25 when internet access is not available.
Depending on what version of Snow License Manager you have installed, see Upgrade from Snow License Manager 9.44 or earlier versions or Upgrade from Snow License Manager 9.45.
Preparations
Before you start with the upgrade, run the Data Update Job, and verify that it finishes successfully.
If the Data Update Job does not finish successfully, contact Flexera Support and do not proceed with the upgrade.
Upgrade from Snow License Manager 9.44 or earlier versions
When you do not have the latest versions of Snow Inventory 6 and Snow License Manager 9 installed, use this procedure to upgrade to Snow Inventory 25 and Snow License Manager 25.

On your Snow application server, open the Snow Update Service application.

Select Change settings.

Select Use offline mode, and then select Save.

Select Export product manifest, and then select Export.

Go to any folder where you can temporarily save the product manifest file, and then select Save.

Download an update package using the product manifest. The update package includes all the updates you need for the upgrade. For more information, see Download an update package.

In Snow Update Service, select Install offline updates.

Select the update package that you just downloaded, and then select Open.

In Available updates, do the following:

Select the available updates for Snow Inventory 6.

Select the available updates Snow License Manager 9.
-
Select Install, and then wait for the installation to complete.

In Available updates, do the following:

For Snow Inventory Server v. 25.1:
-
Select Disabled. Click for info and enable.
-
Read through the Important information.
-
To confirm, select Yes.

For Snow License Manager v. 25.1:
-
Select Disabled. Click for info and enable.
-
Read through the Important information.
-
To confirm, select Yes.

Select Install, and then wait for the installation to complete.

In Available updates, select and install any additional updates that are available for Snow Inventory 25.x and Snow License Manager 25.x.

Run the Data Update Job and verify that it finishes successfully.
Keep in mind that the first run of the Data Update Job can take a long time to complete.
Upgrade from Snow License Manager 9.45
When you have the latest versions of Snow Inventory 6 and Snow License Manager 9 installed, use this procedure to upgrade to Snow Inventory 25 and Snow License Manager 25.

On your Snow application server, open the Snow Update Service application.

Select Change settings.

Select Use offline mode, and then select Save.

Select Export product manifest, and then select Export.

Go to any folder where you can temporarily save the product manifest file, and then select Save.

Download an update package using the product manifest. For more information, see Download an update package.

In Snow Update Service, select Install offline updates.

Select the update package that you just downloaded, and then select Open.

In Available updates, do the following:

For Snow Inventory Server v. 25.1:

Select Disabled. Click for info and enable.

Read through the Important information.

For Snow License Manager v. 25.1:

Select Disabled. Click for info and enable.

Read through the Important information.

To confirm, select Yes.

Select Install, and then wait for the installation to complete.

In Available updates, select and install any additional updates that are available for Snow Inventory 25.x and Snow License Manager 25.x.

Run the Data Update Job and verify that it finishes successfully.
Keep in mind that the first run of the Data Update Job can take a long time to complete.
Download an update package
The following procedure must be done from a computer with internet access, and with access to the Snow Update Manifest file that you will use.

In the Update Portal, select Software Update.

In Software Updates, do the following:

In Email, type your email address.

In Import a product manifest, select Choose file to browse for and select the product manifest file.

Select Request package
-

When the update package is generated, download the package: either select the Click here to download the package link, or use the link in the email that you have received.

Save the update package in a location that is available from your Snow application server.
