Reports

note

The Reports section currently includes the Applications per user report. Additional reports will be made available in future releases.

The Reports pages enable you to gather data in centralized views, customize the data shown, and export results as downloadable CSV files. Unlike the default application, subscription and user pages in Flexera One SaaS Management, Reports provides a more flexible way to visualize and analyze your data. You can drill down into key metrics, apply advanced filters and group information in ways that help you track usage, identify redundancies, and ensure compliance.

A report configuration is the structure of the report, and consists of the selected columns and added filters. You can use the report configuration as it is provided by default, or customize it by adjusting which columns are shown, adding individual or grouped conditions, and grouping report data into a hierarchal structure to suit your specific needs.

Applications per user

The Applications per user report configuration provides a centralized view of users and all the SaaS applications they are assigned to. For information on customizing this report, see Manage reports.

Criteria and groups

You can use filters to refine the data shown in a report. A filter can consist of one or more individual conditions, or groups of conditions for more complex filtering logic. Conditions can be combined using logical operators to narrow or broaden the results.

The following logical operators are supported:

  • AND: Narrows the results by requiring all conditions to be met.
  • OR: Broadens the results by returning records that meet any of the conditions.
note

When multiple filters are combined using the AND operator, records must meet all criteria to be included in the results. When one of the filter values uses the Equals to operator, it applies an exact match constraint. Only records that exactly match the specified value are considered for further filtering. If the same filter type is applied again with AND, the additional filter will return no results because the exact match constraint is already in effect.

Group data hierarchically

You can group data to organize a report into a hierarchical structure. This enables you to analyze relationships between users, their assigned applications and their other attributes. To group data, drag one or more columns to the grouping bar above the table header. The order in which you add columns to the grouping bar determines the grouping hierarchy:

  • The first column added creates the top-level grouping.
  • Each additional column creates a nested grouping within the previous group.
EXAMPLE

To view applications assigned to users by country:

  1. Drag Country to the grouping bar.

  2. Drag Application to the grouping bar.

The report displays a list of countries. Expanding a country reveals the applications assigned to users in that country. Expanding an application shows the users assigned to that application within the selected country.
