Imports of computer data: Reference

Refer to the table below for a detailed description on the required data when you want to import data to update existing computers in SAM on Snow Atlas. For more information on how to import data to update existing computers, see Manage imports of computer data

To perform successful mappings during the import, information on either Computer name or Bios serial number must be provided.

Organization	Text	No	Organization node that the computer belongs to. Use the Full path, Node name, or Node ID. If your Snow Atlas tenant has the Data visibility based on organization structure setting enabled, use Node ID. The Full path is a unique identifier for the organization node and describes the full organization path. The Node name is a name for the organization node that appears in the organization structure. Purchase price	Number	No	Purchase price for the computer. If used, Purchase date and Currency must be set.
Purchase date	Date	No	Date of purchase. If used, Purchase price and Currency must be set. Purchase date must have the correct format to enable Currency. Supported formats are YYYY-MM-DD and MM/DD/YYYY.	2025-01-25
