Manage data visibility
Learn how to manage data visibility to determine the SAM Core data that users can view based on your organization structure, by granting users access to organization nodes.
Manage data visibility for the first time
If you are a system administrator, and you are the first user to enable data visibility for your Snow Atlas system, you must do the following before you can manage data visibility for other users in your organization. This is to ensure that you retain access to all organization nodes.
- Select access to the root node for your user account. For more information, see Manage groups, roles and data visibility.
You can then proceed to manage data visibility for other users in your Snow Atlas system. For more information, see Manage data visibility for users.
Manage data visibility for users
-
On the Users page in Snow Atlas settings, when you invite a user to your Snow Atlas system, or use Manage users, select organization nodes. You can also give users full visibility of SAM Core data by granting them access to the entire organization structure. For more information, see Manage users.
-
When you want to apply data visibility to users, enable Data visibility based on organization structure in Asset management under SAM > Settings > SAM Core settings. For more information, see Data visibility.
