Add or edit datacenter/cluster: Reference
Refer to the tables below for field descriptions when you want to add or edit a datacenter or cluster in SAM Core on Snow Atlas.
General
The General tab lets you, for example, add information on the name and organization of the datacenter or cluster.
| Field label | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The name of the datacenter/cluster. (Required) |
| Organization | The organization node that the datacenter/cluster belongs to. (Required) |
| Controller | The name of the controller managing the datacenter, if any. |
| Description | The description of the datacenter/cluster |
| Hypervisor technology | The Hypervisor technology used in the datacenter/cluster. When VMware vSphere is selected, information on Datacenter is a VMware DRS cluster is also required. |
| High availability enabled | If this setting is enabled, it indicates that the datacenter/cluster is configured with high availability (HA). |
| Datacenter is a VMware DRS cluster | Requires that VMware vSphere is selected as the Hypervisor technology. If this setting is enabled, it indicates that the VMware DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler) feature is enabled for the cluster. |
Hosts
The Hosts tab lets you connect hosts to the datacenter or cluster.

|---|---|
| Name | The name of the host. |
| Operating system | The operating system of the host. |
| Organization | The organization node that the host belongs to. |
| Number of VMs | The number of virtual machines running on the host. |
Extended coverage
The Extended coverage tab lets you add extended license coverage for applications installed in the datacenter or cluster. For more information, see Extended coverage.

| Application | The name of the application with extended license coverage. |
| Coverage reason | The reason for the extended license coverage. |
| Name | The name of the datacenter or cluster from which license coverage is extended. |
